Demand not seen in the U.S.
Paslin's growth comes as the auto industry is rushing to keep up with a sustained level of demand not seen in the U.S. in nearly a decade.
The supplier has already added about 100 positions since Tower Three invested and provided the company with the capital it needed to grow. The company is expected to maintain its existing three facilities in Warren after construction on the new building in the Cherry Creek Corporate Park in Shelby Township is complete.
"This is not consolidation — this is expansion for Paslin," said Kirk Goins, who was appointed CEO in September. "With the funding help from Tower Three, we've been able to invest in all of our facilities."
The company, which held a job fair Tuesday to kick start its hiring, plans to add employees in several high-skilled positions, including robotic programmers, electrical engineers, controls engineers, weld engineers, toolmakers and pipefitters. To apply, e-mail resumes@paslin.com.
Tower Three, which targets investments in the range of $50 million to $150 million in a variety of sectors, identified unrealized growth opportunity in Paslin as the auto industry transitions to lighter-weight vehicles that require new assembly equipment.
